Choose from a menu created daily using the finest local produce and enjoy fine dining looking out over the gardens to Thurlestone Bay in the Margaret Amelia restaurant.
Margaret Amelia Grose was the first member of the family to offer hospitality to guests in the village and the Restaurant is named after her. The hotel continues to honour her legacy with its award winning menus and choice of dining options. Thurlestone Hotel Chairman David Grose personally selects its expertly considered wine list, featuring wines from individual vineyards across the world.
The dinner menu, open to non-residents, offers the option of one, two or three course selections from the full Table d’hote menu.
Traditional Sunday lunch is served in the Margaret Amelia Restaurant and is a very popular with guests and non-residents and so booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
Family dining is enjoyed by many who wish their children to eat with them in the main restaurant and during school holiday periods the restaurant opens from 7.00pm with a limited children’s menu, available until 7.30pm at no additional charge, alongside the full dinner menu. Children are welcome to dine after 7.30pm but only the full dinner menu will be available and there is an additional charge for any children not on dinner inclusive terms.
We regret that babies and children in highchairs are not permitted in the restaurant for dinner.
Childrens’ tea is served daily from 5.15pm – 6.00pm with homemade favourites and chef’s specials including fish cakes, cottage pie, pasta and burgers.
