Outdoor Activities & Leisure Facilities at Thurlestone Hotel, South Devon

Besides the draw of Thurlestone Beach and our par 3 golf course, guests have a wonderful selection of things to do out in the fresh air. Tennis courts, garden games and a heated outdoor swimming pool are just some of the activities to enjoy.

Escape the hustle and bustle

On a sunny afternoon, little beats a classic round of croquet on the lawn. Or if you prefer more gentle exercise, our 19 acre grounds are delightful for a relaxing stroll, perhaps followed by some spa time or an hour or two of pure relaxation on the sun terrace.

Tennis anyone?

There are two all-weather tennis courts located in the hotel grounds, near the hotel golf course. Both courts are available at any time for you to play, but it is requested that you book the tennis courts (up to 48 hours in advance) through reception to avoid ‘double booking’. Free equipment hire of rackets and balls are available from reception.

Daily opening hours: 8.00am to 8.00pm (May to end of September)

Separate Ladies and Gentlemen’s changing rooms are available, equipped with showers, changing cubicles, toilets, lockers and baby changing facilities. Towels are provided and loungers are available around the poolside.

*Please note children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult as there is no lifeguard.

The Rock Pool ‘al fresco’ dining area is located next to the outdoor pool serving a variety of poolside snacks, meals, drinks and ice creams.
